Suns Sweep! Weekend Recap and Highlights
This past weekend we saw the Suns blow the doors off the Bozeman Stingers, dusting off the summer rust en route to a 9-2, 9-2 series sweep. Suns’ star D-man Mike Curry had this to say reflecting on this season’s opener, “(We give) Tons of credit to our fans. In the past years it seems like it takes a few weekends for everyone to remember hockey’s started and to start rolling into the games, but this weekend was unbelievable. Packed both nights! We appreciate that support so much. It really drives us to compete and put on a show for all who came out. Thanks!”

2019/2020 Season Opener
This Friday/Saturday, November 29th/30th, your Sun Valley Suns kick-off the season against the Bozeman Stingers at the Campion Ice Center in Hailey. Puck drop 7 PM.
The Suns are returning largely the same roster from last season’s BDHL championship winning squad. Voids left by departures of two-way studs, D Tyler Lovejoy (grad-school) and F Rasmus Andersson (return to Sweden), can be filled with additions of Joey Sides, Nick Curry, Kevin Kaiser, Connor Girard, and return of former Suns star Matt Puntereri come January.
The season brings new challenges for the Suns with the growth of the evolving BDHL. Vail, Breckenridge, Aspen, Park City, and Texas (Dallas) all enter the fold meaning this season’s competition has been ramped up and the Suns have no cake wake to a a first ever BDHL three-peat.
